www.themidwaysf.com

Kate Duhamel's and Alonzo King's Lines Ballet brought Mad Max Fury to life September 15th, 2018 at The Midway in San Francisco, CA.

The multimedia production took a bold approach in showcasing the story of the post-apocalyptic world of the original 1970's film. The latest of the series 'Fury' embodies the state of women today. Strong fearless and ready to fight for whats right.

The merge of Action and Ballet included visuals and a live band with music by Yassou and Kristina Dutton. The audience enjoyed an intimate and immersive experience to what was a true contemporary work of art.

In composing the music Dutton shares that she had never seen Mad Max but once she studied the film, she enjoyed the strong feminist elements the film embodied.

Sharing the stage were Dancers from the San Francisco Ballet and Alonzo King Ballet. Principal dancers from SFBallet, Dores Andre, Frances Chung, Luke Ingham, and Jennifer Stahl-Weitz, and from LINES Ballet, Adji Cissoko Babatunji, and Michael Montgomery

Fans say Babatunji is one of the best dancers in SF.

A packed house was no surprise after being captivated by the performance. Only in town for the weekend, tonight's show is only expected to wow it audience once again.

With a show unlike any other, many can look forward to be wowed once again by Lines Ballet.
